The project involves the complete renovation and extending of an existing 1930's bungalow in Juniper Green, Edinburgh. The rear single storey extension has been designed in a contemporary form with large expanses of glass to connect the house with the garden and also provide unobstructed views of the Pentland Hills beyond.
The attic conversion has been designed as a two bedroom conversion with one en-suite shower room. Two dormer windows at the front and back maximise the head height in each room with the rear dormer having floor to ceiling doors to form a small roof top terrace/ balcony.
The main emphasis of this design has been to push the maximum potential out of the property but also sticking to the originally specified client budget.
Once the project has been completed in Spring 2015 the property will be a stunning family home.
